These annual deadlines are for the submission of letters of inquiry.

Arts and Culture: March 1

Human Rights: August 1

Food and Farming: December 1

Letters of inquiry should be attached to an email and sent to loi@columbia.org on or before the program-area deadline. If the deadline falls on a weekend or legal holiday, the deadline will be considered the next regular business day.

The foundation considers letter of inquiry in each program only once a year. The foundation's board of directors makes final grant decisions at a board meeting held approximately four to six months after the program deadline.

Please follow all application instructions carefully. Letters of inquiry that are incomplete or that do not follow these instructions will not be considered.
